My PenPal Equifax, What Now???

Hi All,

I sent in a dispute to all 3 CRA's after an item that is not mine, was verified, on round one.
I did not allege fraud or ID theft but made the request about "how they got the info, from whom," etc.

I attached the account being disputed from their hard copy report.

Equifax responded with a form letter telling me they have successfully placed an alert on my file. There is no mention of my dispute.

This was sent via certified mail which they received a week ago.

Do I now have to redo the same dispute or do I send something else?
Oh, it is outside the SOL.

I feel as if I asked them if it's an apple or an orange under Federal law and they have replied that it's a kiwi.

Thanks in Advance,
Aftermath

Well kiwi's have to have water to grow, too...

But seriously, dispute again if it is past the 7 year SOL for reporting. This time dispute as "obsolete".
