default judgement

hello,
I have a Judgement against me for the amount of $6857.00. from July of 2006. I live in the state of Ohio. the plaintiff is MRCE receivables inc. My question(s) are:
1) Is there any way to file to vacate by the court, or is it even necessary?
2) If it is not necessary, has anyone successfully negotiated a deal with a collection agency post judgement? if so, how would one go about doing so?

3) I've read that in the state of Ohio they can garnish my wages, although they have not done so yet. what would be preventing them from doing so?

Thank you in advance for your time!

I'll answer in order:

1. Yes, but after two years I doubt that you can. You need to read your Rules of Civil Procedure.

2. It can be done. Most likely it will require 85+% cash or bankruptcy.

3. Waiting for the judgment to mature, that is, earn interest. They could be shopping to sell it, cannot locate you, your employer, bank account, lost the file, etc.
