Who to pay CA or school?
I have a balance of about $1500 with a school because i under calculated my loans for the semester. I'm finally able to make payments on it but I recently received a letter from a Collection Agency. I asked the school who to pay and they say to send payment to the CA.
But do I have to?
I think it would look better if I sent the payments to the school instead. I still have access to send payments to the school as well. It's not like they would reject my payments right?

It depends. If they have sold the account, they no longer have a right to collect on it.
If they've told you to deal with the CA, that's what you need to do. They have probably sold the account.

Is the debt for this past semester? If so, I would pay the school.

The school may have in the contract with the CA that the CA will collect the payment. If you contacted the school and they would not accept the payment, then you will have to go through the CA. Pay with money order and keep receipt so it can be tracked, and send cmrr if paying by mail. Also, remember that most schools will not release records, transcripts, or allow new class registrations until all fees are paid.

They didn't reject payment from me actually. I sent an e-mail to the accounts department asking which one to send to and she said CA. She didn't say I must or demand I sent it to them...
And yea thats why I need to pay this one of first asap.
