I have never done this before and am unsure of how this works. I mainly logged on because I got this letter from an Attorney Hunt & Henriques and was looking online for info or help.

I do not have a problem paying the bill but it started out as a $ 300 credit card that has now ballooned to $1200 plus because I got behind on another card and everybody decided that they wanted outrageous payments that I guess I agreed to in the contract and now I am stuck.

I paid what I could and let the others go, now I cannot afford to pay espcecially since the interest does not stop.

Help, if you can or at least help with direction

Welcome to the forum, I will move your thread to the credit repair section. It sounds like your are suffering from the universal default. Some questions others will ask;

What state are you in?

What type of letter did you receive from the attorney? Just try to provide us as much information about the problem without providing personal identifiable information that would allow a collection agency to track you.

Have you sent them a validation letter?

No
I just received the letter. I have been getting messages on my voice mail but my work hours are I leave at 6:00 am and I do not get back in until 6:00 to 9:00 pm depending on the day.

I have received a few phone calls at work but I refuse to talk since I cannot take personal phone calls and I will not discuss that at work, so I have had to just hang up.

Is there any help for me?

First thing would be a validation request, that way you know that the collection agency contacting you has a right to collect. How much to you allegedly know "round it of, no need to be the exact amount".

You write a letter asking them to prove that the debt is yours and how they arrived at the amount.

In that letter, you say that it is "inconvenient to receive calls at any time, at any number" and that future contact should be in writing.

I believe there is a sticky about dispute letters here on the forum if you search around a bit.

Thanks but what is a sticky.
I am looking around but I do not understand some things like the casino, is that part of the help in clearing up my credit?
I will look for the Validation letter and mail it to the Attorneys, then what. I do not dispute that I owe but the credit card was originally 300 and I do not believe that I ever maxed it out? O think that the 900 is interest etc. Can I dispute that?

A sticky is a thread that stays at the top of the forum. I believe that here in the beginner's forum there is a thread started by roybean about dispute letters. Read that.

The arcade and the casino are just diversions to help relieve the stress of credit repair. Otherwise they won't help you!
