WARNING - Check your Statements
Just found a charge for $1.00 from a company called UT INTERACTIVE-INTERNET. Phone number of 801-983-0275 UT.
I called the number, talked to some guy who sounded like he was still in his bathrobe. He said that they were the CC billing company for Utah State Gvt. Now I did order some docs from the UT Gvt months ago and was billed at the same time. Have that statement.
The guy told me to call back on Tuesday and the charged would be removed. No explanation as to why it was there in the first place.
I told him no that I would just dispute it with my CC company. He started mumbling something and hung up on me.
Not only will I dispute it, but I'll alert the UT Attorney General too.
I wonder how many $1 charges go unchallenged because people think it is a waste of time to dispute such an insignificant amount.
