Regarding Credit One Bank:

DS got two offers on Saturday for a pre-approved VISA card from Credit One Bank. The offer was for a card of up to $1k @ 23.90% APR. Membership fee of $69 annually; enrollment fee of $69; 25 days in the cycle computing interest daily on the balance etc etc. It says on the inserts that Credit One Bank is the former First National Bank of Marin.

This is a lousy subprime card. Stay away.

They are predatory. Stay away unless you can't do any better and aren't willing to improve your lot in terms of credit scores.
