How long does it take.......
to get the Orchard Bank Secured card when you apply online? I hear it can take a month after the application is completed online, Anyone with this card remember the time they had to wait??
Thanks

2-4 weeks. IMHO Bank of America has a better product and so does National City.

Thanks Enigma, for the reply I will look into both of those. I assume they can both be researched online?

I'm not positive, but I believe that BoA does not report as secured, which is another plus.
I think Cap One's secured is even better than Orchard, but not as good as BoA. I don't know a thing about National City.

The main thing with Cap One is to make sure you pay on time. Either pay through the web or send it early if you mail it. They used to hold payments several days before they processed them, which means you're late and they can charge late fees (and jack the rate).
Read the web site and see if payments are credited the same day or later. Then pay accordingly.

I think I'd go for BoA first, if you can get it.

They report, but they don't report the credit limit, only the high balance. So it makes it look like you're using all your credit, and hurts your score because it keeps the ratios high.
