Happy Memorial Day, everyone. Even though the real Memorial Day is May 30, we now celebrate on Monday.'
But let's never forget that this isn't just a long weekend to start the summer. It's a time to stop and honor those who gave their lives defending our great country and keeping it free so that we can do things like have cookouts on long weekends.

Not me. We were away for the weekend. My husband went to a convention. I hung around the hotel except for Saturday. I read, slept, went to the hot tub, and played games on the computer.
Today I had salad in the room and fast-food Mexican on the way home.

After the storms subsided, I cooked out, steak and lobster tails with caesar salad.
