I have been looking for a news story for a few days now and can't remember where I read it. It was about a car that got stopped and the police didn't charge anyone with a crime or violation, they just took their money. Do you remember it and can you link it?

Do you mean the case out of Nebraska where the dog alerted to the cooler full of money wrapped in various amounts?

Backstory as I recall was that he was supposedly going to by a refrigerated truck and had pooled money from various persons. Purchase didn't go through and they had some issue that prevented them from flying, so they rented a car and were driving from something like Chicago to California, with the stop somewhere in the heartland...
