LK vs JK was going on last I heard. Never heard the outcome of that deal. I think he was advised not to post until that was resolved.

Probably makes sense, since JK was monitoring a lot of boards and knew who LK was.

I never followed up to see if any of the proposed criminal charges were ever filed against LK. I know there were some pretty egregious claims that potentially satisfied the burden for filing in criminal court...

It looks like the few remaining cases that he had pending in federal court on the civil side are being permitted to simply wither and die on the vine...some of the OC cases were consolidated.

When the OC's ganged up on him, they had some stuff that made a pretty compelling case for fraud...there is a reason they all sought to consolidate the cases. And I believe the case against Chase was the one that he got hit with sanctions...

The last entry on the consolidated case was a scheduling order from last December.

Do you know what the sanctions were for?

It may have been the NCO case I was thinking of...and it looks like instead of sanctions it was the order to pay costs after he backed out of a settlement agreement. This was the case where he agreed to settle for $1800 and it was conditioned upon his filing a dismissal- NCO went ahead and cut the check even though the Dismissal was not provided, and LK decided to reneg on the $1800 and stated he would then settle for $2500. NCO filed to enforce the settlement agreement and asked for costs...the Court agreed that the $665 put forth as costs incurred by NCO was reasonable. There is no indication as to whether those costs were ever paid.

If you read all of the filings on PACER, especially those associated with original creditors, you will see why LK is viewed by some in the web community as having given the pro se litigant a bad name.

I think most his cases where in georgia or was it south carolina. I do not remember for sure... There was allot of info on the ordeal posted at www.creditboards.com For some reason they welcomed him with open arms and then turned arround to bann him;

His problematic filings were in the Western District of North Carolina. He is also the poster child for why you don't file a half-dozen cases at the same time that are worded exactly the same except for the defendant...

He was banned for good cause IMO. From some of things he posted, he's lucky not to be in jail.

Roy, pony up the few bucks for when the statement comes and plop down to read PACER for a few hours. Of particularly interesting reading is the Motion to Consolidate filed by the OC's that he chose to file suit against.

The LK exposed site contained only snippets of the good stuff...

I guess I'll have to because I didn't know. All I ever saw was the few little tid bits here and there on the net.
