MY Friend in Sudan
I'm posted an ad on Craigslist to BUY a phone and received this:
"hello,

shiped for my son in sudan
representing the united nations peace keeping force there.
i am located in california but not in state at the moment
thanks
Rev.charles"
So to take a break from bashing the President, I figured I'd take up Spam-baiting.
I sent the Reverend this: Using an on line Latin Gibberish generator at http://www.lipsum.com/
"Hello Hank Carl
Something happened to you message at first I could understand it then something happened..consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
hello,
i am interested in item you are
He then sent me this:
"hello,
i am in need of the item( i am going
to pay the sum of $xxxx) for my
son in sudan who is with the
united nations ..please note that i
want the item to be shiped to him
there so i will be making the
payment through usps money
order i am located in nevada but
not there at the moment..so
please mail me back with your
full name and address so that i
can make the payment ..when i
make the payment you are going
to recieve a mail from the
payment company that i have
paid ..and you will mail me so
that i send you a fedex shiping
label that you would paste on the
item and i am very sure that
fedex is not going to charge you
for it so mail me back as soon as
posible so that i can make the
payment immediately
thanks
rev.charles"
Next I sent him this:
"MY NAME IS: perspiciatis unde omnis
MY ADDRESS IS: 1783746732184
modi tempora incidunt ut labore et dolore magnam aliquam STREET
MY CITY IS: quis nostrum exercitationem
MY ZIP CODE IS: 95734-2134
USA
PLEASE HURRY
THE ITEM YOU WISH TO BUY FOR YOUR SON IS $ 11,898.00
THANKS FOR SHOPPING CRAIGSLIST. "
I just hope that Derek doesn't get the account and make me pay the Reverend!

Notice how the reverend was first a California resident, then a Nevada resident.
Jeez if you are trying to establish trust, those aren't states I'd first pick.
With Nevada, Arizona and Florida known as boiler room hosting states and california well...I mean how about Kansas or somewhere not on the Creator's first strike list. LOL

So what is the catch here, they are triying to ge tsomething and somewhere down the line screw you out the money. Or will they be triying identity theft?
Interesting.
