My first case I had TR to guide both me and my lawyer, and without him my lawyer would not have known much. I remember emailing TR and he back to me and then I would send things off to my lawyer to study.
Looking back I am amazed at how little he knew about consumer law.

It is no different than any other specialty area of law. They don't teach everything in law school, as you are aware. Consumer law is no different than sports law or other niche areas...most will only learn more about it if they have cause to represent someone in that area. It's no different than what I am doing with some sports law stuff right now...
