I'm Going to Have to Slap My Son Around!
If is just now dark here and DS left about 10 minutes ago wishing me a nice evening as he left to go night fishing. He sounded odd and looked guilty about something and I just discovered why...he let loose about 20 some lightning bugs in the house! 
I hate to kill them so I guess I will be spending some time tonight re-catching the little buggers and putting them outside...

Yes, RB. They are REAL LIVE bugs...beetles to be exact...their abdomen lights up to attract the opposite sex for mating. See this website for more info. We used to catch them and put them in quart jars to lanterns out of them when I was a kid. They don't bite or anything.

I know about glow worms, but I've never heard of lightening bugs. Well, he let them loose in the house and left??? Yeah, I think that's reason to slap him around a little bit.
