It's been too cold here to swim and there's no heater in the pool. For the past week, it's not been out of the 70's and the temps at night are going down into the low 40's and upper 30's. I have on sweats as I type this. brrrrr.......

Yes, I remember she smacked the bird, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have someone to come in and help with the pool.

I do it myself now that I am a poor law student. Used to have a service come once a week when I was working.

And the gander has not been back since I whacked him.

There was no blood that I could see. I cannot vouch that he didn't have internal injuries but he shouldn't have hissed and tried to chase me off. After all, it is MY pool.

You know I used to have a cat (that I was very fond of) and I think I treated that cat too well because one day she got beside herself and hissed at me and I politely had to let her know who was top cat in my house.

We never had a problem after that!

I'd love to take a dip in a pool right now. 93 degrees is just too damn hot to do a brake job. Not much choice, that metal on metal grinding was starting to get on my nerves

Come on up then and take a dip. Water temp is 62.

Edited to add correct temp today. It's only 71 out right now in the sun. Tonight the low is supposed to get to 45.
