Michael Vick.....

Does anyone have access to the PACER docs in the Michael Vick case?

I would like to read them. I have read that the Feds have a 95% conviction rate in such cases. While the presumption of innocence still holds...apparently the Feds dont file unless they are certain they will win. They are not Mike Nifong.

That is one sick dude and I cannot imagine what the complaint reads like.

The guy is such a creep and hopefully HE WILL NEVER GET ANY ENDORSEMENTS AGAIN, as long as I can open my mouth .
Do you know that there was one dog that had his entire muzzle bit off and they still kept him suffering as he was *game* and they wanted him to stud .
The whole thing sickens me as far too many people are like this, and you would be surprised how that nice person in the ocean front mansion treats his dog.
I hope that Vick and his cronies will never be allowed to have a dog again, and that something good will come out of their torturing of dogs.

Looks like from the news today that Vick is done and looking for a plea deal. Who wants to bet that some NFL team will still want him to play for them when he gets out of prison if he even goes to prison?

The plea is to avoid the new indictments of gambling and racketeering. The gambling charges will surely bring a suspension from the NFL. He may play again, but he is a PR nightmare at this point. I think he will do some time. Maybe not much, but he will probably take 6 months to avoid the more serious charges. He will get at least a 1 year suspension from NFL.

Better yet, go to prison for a long time and become somebody's girlfriend.

Sad thing is that his fellow inmates will probably celebrate him because he is an athlete.

I wish one of those poor animals could gnaw on him for awhile, give him a taste of his own medicine. I don't understand what pleasure people get from watching animals fight to their death, it is truly sickening and pathetic to even think about it.

I know a guy who used to raise pit bulls; they are naturally fighting dogs and the males are territorial. He said it was such a problem keeping them apart and they constantly fought. They would take off after other animals, he’d have to chase them and there’s no calming them down once they get upset, and they’d bite him too. He spent lots of money at the vet from where they’d hurt each other. Not to mention the vet was constantly threatening him saying that he was fighting the dogs and he was gonna turn him in. After about 6 or 7 yrs. of this he finally said “That’s it,” and he stopped raising pits.

I agree with Lucy....Michael Vick is about 220 so put him in a ring with two 110 pound pit bulls and see what happens.

The thing about the money is....he signed for so much.....over $100 million, that he doesnt even "need" to ever play again. I ams sure he has already been paid $40 million or so.

Take his freedom.....that is all he will ever understand.

I don't know if they get that big, naturally anyway. I had 2 that were 75 pounds and they could have easily ripped him apart at that size.

If they havent yet...they will.

I hear some people give them protein weight gain drinks that the body builders use. Not sure how big they get. Like I said, mine are 75 pounds and very strong, and quick.

Part of any plea should be a 10 year probation that allows for if he buys, sales, owns, gambles on, fights, or is in the presence of any such activity with any animal he goes straight to jail for a minimum of 5 years.

Violation of the required period of supervision following incarceration at the federal level already carries its own offense and sentence. I forget if it is a term equal to the term of supervised release or not since it has been so long since I saw one of those cases and had to consult the guidelines.

Remember also that the federal sentencing guidelines take away alot of room that exists for negotiation at the state level cases...

Even with a plea of guilty, my guess is that he loses out on the points for acceptance of responsibility and cooperation with investigators. Downward departures might exist for lack of prior offenses, but I seem to recall he has had some misdemeanor fandangos in the past.

Yeah I was just wishing for justice, but I'm sure he will get much less than what he really deserves if guilty.

It beats the misdemeanor time that would occur if it had been a Texas offense. Actually there is a method to elevate it to a State Jail Felony, but that has a capped term of two years and would likely have yielded only probation.
