I read a lot of news and do keyword searches for stories of interest to this board. I ran across a series of articles today in a mid-western newspaper today about the police in the town actually going out and collecting debt (or rather telling debtors they will go to jail if they don't pay up) for business owners in the town. The articles are great but they are in archives that don't seem to link so I have put in a request to the newspaper's editor to repost the articles here and am awaiting his reply. Stay tuned...

No...this happened is a fairly large town and these articles were in the Star newspaper from Midlothian, Illinois, which is located in Cook County and is part of the Chicago Metro Area.

You can look them up if you want. I just can't link them and am still awaiting permission from the newspaper editor to post them here.
