I was in NOLA when the decision was announced...consensus was definitely that this is not the last we have heard of that case.

Interesting. I figured this would be the case, but there was much talk early on as to how they were going to prove damages from the Katrina herself, vs the levee break.

No homeowners insurance policy is going to cover flooding of any kind. You have to have a national flood insurance policy.

Regular policies will only cover water damage due to a hole or "opening" caused by storm, tree, etc., but not from rising water, spray, waves, etc.
