I'm OK....Thanks for asking
Damn that was a sneaky hurricane. Came across the border in the middle of the night like an illegal alien.
First I heard of the storm was yesterday afternoon, and it was just a tropical storm. Went to level 1 hurricane some time last night. Electric went off about 4:20 am, and I couldn't get back to sleep. I knew it had to be much stronger than predicted when I watched the dog house fly past the patio door. Then the flooding started. Got some water inside at the doorways, but not very much. It has gone back down for now, and the rain has stopped, and hoping we don't get any more. They predicted 10 - 15 inches, and luckily they were wrong as usual.
Electric is on downtown, and I am on generator as long as I can get gas. The power will take a while to come back on, but the cable and internet is still working.

I'm sorry, PR...didn't know about it as I haven't watched any tv in the past few days except ESPN. The only hurricanes they talk about is the abysmal one in Miami.
Glad you are OK.

I heard about it on the radio this morning and thought about you. I just haven't had much time to post yet. I'm slammed at work.
I'm glad you're OK. What about the dogs--you said the doghouse went flying past the door.
Good thing you have a generator.

Good thing they already appraised my property this year, otherwise they might tax me higher for a lake front property.

Wow--that's a lot of water!!
Sell it as a lakefront property quickly, before the lake dries up.

I tried to sell it last year about this time, and it flooded worse that time. It had about 4 inches of water. They backed out of the deal. So I figured I would move back and sell the other one. This makes the 3 floods in 3 years, all in September. September is the 9th month, and 3 *3 = 9.......

So, are you trying to imply that this is the last one?

Between Qtip inflarting and Pale Rider flooding, I am almost afraid to comment...I did turn on The Weather Channel and found out that the hurricane's name is Humberto. Even if I had heard that it was coming across the border, I would have assumed it WAS an illegal alien...
