| HEADS-UP Electronic Bill Pay I am not sure if this is just a BoA issue or not.
I have electronic bill presentment with some of my bills. I noticed on one of my bills that the due date was four days earlier than the usual date. I figured it was a change to generate late fee income.
Today I get an email from BoA stating that "they" changed the due to four days earlier. I called BoA, was told that the vendor will be paid by paper check instead of electronically.
I call vendor, they confirm and I am told they are no longer accepting electronic payments from BoA. I also have another checking account at a different bank, they will accept electronic payments from them.
I wonder whats up with the change. Is BoA trying to generate revenue on the float? Or, are there problems with their electronic payment systems?
I would really hate to have to visit each of my creditors websites just to pay bills. In the alternative, I could go back to writing paper checks, ugggg.

| I think BofA has bitten off more than they can chew or they are bull conning. I have recently heard numerous persons complained of electronic payments not being noted, unaccepted with no explanation, payments returned and then assessed a late fee for not paying on time. Lots of problems.

| Was unaware, but then again, I don't have a problem going to the individual websites. In a given month, it is fewer than a dozen of them that I have to deal with, and I am always in and out of them reviewing current transactions anyway...

| I always pay at the credit card website. That way I KNOW they got the payment, since I get the transaction acknowledgement from them.
BoA pisses me off becase they no longer let you go to their website and pay from another financial institution (or if they do I can't find it). But my husband has an account with BoA, so I can put the money in his account and pay it.
I know that BoA doesn't just have one site, though. When I log on I have to pick what state my account was opened in, which leads me to believe that they might have different sites--or at least some sort of different terms.

If so, then once you are at your account information screen, look to the Balance Summary on the left side of the page. At the line with total minimum due, click on PAY NOW. That takes you to the PAY BILLS page and will also show any statements with balances that were due. There are also four tabs towards the top of the screen, one of which is labeled Payment Accounts.
At least for me, I still have a button that says Add Payment Account, and I also have the checking account in place that I use on the rare occasion I have to pay BofA anything (bastards keep refusing me a decent limit, so I can't use the card enough to make it worth carrying it).

| Yes, I'm talking about going to BoA to pay from a non-BoA account. I'll check it out.
They had taken it away for a while, I even called them about it and they said they didn't do it anymore. So I haven't looked around lately.
One of my cards with them is just under $20K, the other is about $25K. Of course, I've dealt with them for years. I had one of the original BankAmericards when they first came out. I closed it when I went overseas, but I guess they still had the history. They've always treated me pretty well. It was MBNA that didn't treat me well.

I have an aversion to having my checking account information stored on several servers. I've gotten one those "our site has been hacked" letters.
I've never had a major problem with BoA, some minor annoyances.
