That wasn't WV football I saw yesterday. It was a Wake Forest clone. The defense was simply terrible. My God, we have no secondary. Just none.

Jack Kent Cooke must be turning over in his grave. If he ever even thought that the team would leave his family, I'm sure he would have done his will differently. What is the Burnt Orange going to do this weekend? I heard this morning the game in Austin has been postponed since IKE is due in about kick off time?

They can watch #1 ranked USC play Ohio State.

If the power goes out, they will get a second chance to watch #1 ranked USC when #1 ranked USC plays East Carolina in the National Championship game.

UT welcomes a chance to play USC again...they even welcome an opportunity to do it while USC is ranked #1, since we know how well that worked out for USC the LAST time around...

As to this weekend's game, I am still waiting to get details on the rescheduled date...I was in Houston when the announcement came down. I was supposed to have still been down there through tomorrow but decided to get while the getting was good...drive back to Austin wasn't too bad until I got near Elgin on 290. I am convinced, though, that EVACUEE must be French for 'can't drive worth a damn.'

As for driving, our problem is that people here stay here. At the slightest sign of rain everyone slows down to 12 MPH. And if it snows 1/4 inch everyone stops at the bottom of a hill and starts to cry.

Maybe that is why every team within 100 miles of me sucks in football.....there is more estrogen in the water than there is water in the water.

My husband and I had to be at UM today for an event unrelated to the ball game. At 5 PM (the game had been over for almost two hours) you could still hardly get on campus.

They were still tailgating when we left around 7.

Certainly don't get these polls. Last week after losing, we fall from #8 to #25. This week despite not playing, we go up to #22.

I was less that thrilled with the UT effort today...they gave up about 320 yards, with 240 or so of that being in the first half. Our back-up quarterback has apparently not been given the green light to throw a forward pass, which means that the Big12 schools will be able to just load the box and drop back two safeties just in case he did try to throw after a busted option sweep.

To make matters worse, Rice didn't bring their band with them...I really enjoy watching the MOB.

With the final only being 52-10, my guess is we drop a spot in the rankings. And with Alabama kicking the crap out of Arkansas, that says we need to win by a similar score next week to avoid losing pace in the rankings. It is bad enough that ATM continues to suck which really hurts strength of schedule.

I'm beginning to think having ATM in a conference hurts as bad as being stuck with Rutgers or West Virginia...

Having just landed back in Austin but getting to watch some of the game before boarding my flight in Durango, I can safely say that Mack screwed up by letting Jevan Snead get away and leaving us stuck with John Chiles as a backup quarterback.

If anything happens to Colt McCoy, Texas is effed beyond belief...

At least the touchdown Texas gave up cannot be pinned on the defense...
