Hi....I just went to try to buy a condo and checked my credit report and OUCH! Mid 400's! Time to stop being an ostrich and educate myself. So I found you guys and here I am, ready to soak up the knowledge! I know that the creditor/collectors love ostriches and I'm done being meat for their barbecue.

I work hard for my money and I want to protect and keep it. Very happy to make you guys' acquaintance.

And, Hedwig....of course the answer is 42 and always will be!

Ah yes...but what is the Question to which this is the Answer?

Personally I think it must be the IQ of every Zoning Board member in my town...

You've got some studying to do....might as well pull off your shoes and get down to business!

Welcome, everyone!!

And Hannah, 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and you'll understand. I read it long before any movie came along.

Yes...I know that...but we all must come up with our own ultimate question...mine right now is, "What is the collective IQ of my town's zoning board?" And the answer is...42!

There's a law about the IQ of a group. I'll have to ask my husband what it is.

OK, he says to compute the IQ of a group, take the IQs of the individual members, add them, and divide by the square of the number of people in the group. So the larger the group, the lower the group IQ!!

The movie didn't come anywhere near doing the book(s) justice...I was sad. Douglas Adams was probably as well.

Yes. Studying is what I am here for. Kicked back on my couch with my laptop. Just need a coffee and some brains. Thanks for the welcome.

I hear ostrich meat is low in fat, but you eat more of it.

I can live with that.

I have reregistered under that name and expect that my application for membership will sail through.

Just waiting word from QTIP.

Broke-chick wanted me to say the following.

"Good morning, I'm broke_chick, I'm new to credit repair and hope to learn alot from all of you."

My shoes are off, my feet are up, and I'm ready to go.

Auto loan question

I have a question pertaining to an auto purchase. A few months ago, I co signed on a vehicle purchase for my fiance's son. It has been a mess from the start. he had no problem with the payments, but the contract has been a mess from the beginning. I have the car now and I'm making the payments(long story). Drive Financial has me listed as the only pruchaser of the vehicle. The dealer had the account number wrong, so when he sent the payments in, they were returned because DF couldn't match the number, and didn't have his name on record anywhere. It caused a 60 day late on my creit reports, and after several nastygrams to customer service the lates were finally removed today.
Dirive Financial sent me a copy of what they have on record, and it plainly shows me as the primary. I also have copies of what I signed to be a co-signer. When I spoke to Drive Financial about it, they actually said that sometimes when the person who is buying the car does not have good enough credit, the dealer will submit it with just the co-signers name so it will go through. Is that legal????
