The first thing you need to do is request copies of your credit reports from the three credit reporting agencies (CRAs). While you are waiting for your reports, read as much as you can in the essentials section.

When you get specific questions, go to the credit repair forum and start a new thread. We'll do what we can to help.

Hi, I'm KAIIM

I'm here to help people from what I've learned. My focus now is speading the gospel of credit repair and helping people take control of their finances and credit. I have decided like any good follower to give it away. Did the collection agency take your credit report hostage?

With ruthless reckless abandon the collection agency stakes their claim on the geography of a credit file, all the while oppressing FICO score to new depths. Well, a collection agency may behave like a fearless dictator. There are enforceable laws. Here's some alphabet soup that's sure to scare the collection agency away - FCRA, FDCPA and FTC.

These factors, taken together with the fact that collection agencies can be generally lazy and you have the makings of a situation whereby you can prevail, if handled with the extreme care it deserves.

Hi, I am new to the credit world, I've always ignored my credit and thought it matter once I got older, until I got rejected. I've never been able to handle rejection very well. I don't know how you guys deal with rejection, but it's the most terrible thing to me. It pounces on my self-esteem!

First, order copies of your reports directly from each of the three bureaus.

Then, while you're waiting for them to come, read the credit essentials forum. You may need to read things several times before they start to sink in.

When you develop specific questions, go to the credit forum and ask your questions.

Big H,
Did you take your shoes off yet? Well, you might as well get comfortable and welcome aboard.
