Hi, I have been very successful in fighting debt collectors unless they get me into court. Even there I have won several cases once I learned what to do. Debt Collectors make a lot of mistakes and the court must rule in your favor if they do.
It just takes a lot of reading to learn what to do and friends who are willing to help! I will be glad to share.

Nice to meet you. I have fought them too in court - but in my small town court, rather than rule in my favor, the case is indefinitely ignored, which means the debt collector can't collect and the court just ignores my demand for sanctions against debt collector. I should probably look it up and find out what to do after a motion has not received a response for more than a year but I have been busy with other things.

December 2008 was the first month I could not pay cc. I "juggled" waiting for real estate to sell and then due to the current economy banks began reducing my cc limits which reduced my credit score which raised my interest rates... I can no longer pay - can barely make the real estate payments since tenants are in trouble too. What should I do first - phone calls are just starting...
