Hi all, I never thought it would come to this - but I now have to learn how to do "all this". Hope I can hold up under the pressure of the collectors, and glad there is a place for support and help.

Hi, I ignored all this for the Holidays but now I need to do something... Dec. was the first month I did not pay cc bills. I can barely pay my real estate bills and feel I must not lose the real estate. Where do I start -call the hardship departments at each cc? I will work diligently on this but need some guidance. Thanks

Well it depends on your particular situation. If you are going to be unable to meet your obligations no matter what you do, then maybe looking into bankrupcy is not a bad idea. If you call the cc and get a hardship, it i my understanding that they will close the accounts and note it on your credit file "that will kill your fico score".

Please start a thread in the credit forum and tell us a little more about your particular situation.
