I am going to attempt to have my loan modified. I know I have a few things I have to get in order before I submit a request. The best sight I have found with the most accurate information is at: makinghomeaffordable dot gov.

I passed all the first 5 questions, so I'm on to the checklist of information I need to present to my mortgage company, who I will deal with directly.

One of those items is my tax return, which I will pick up tomorrow.

I threw in the towel and have filed bankruptcy. The banks are stalling on the Obama loan mods and the credit card companies are upping the stakes....one of my cards is at 38% plus all the other monthly goodies, the rest are at 30% with all the monthly goodies. In short, my cc debt has risen by 20K in the last 6 mos. It's a no win here.
