Beware of HomEq Servicing
Beware of HomEq Servicing, owned by Wachovia. They are predatory lenders out to foreclose or at least make catching up on a missed payment as difficult as possible. My experience began after Hurricane Rita gently passed through SE TX in 2005. My first payment with them was due while I was evacuated. They were very accomodating in letting me slide on a payment or 3, but when I was ready to start paying, they put me on a repayment plan from Hell! Everyone else that I knew in the area with a mortgage was allowed to put the payments at the end of the loan. Not HomEq!! Said it was in my best interest to do it this way. Yeah right. It made a bad situation even worse, and we were just days away from foreclosure before we found someone sympathetic to our situation and refinanced. Avoid these people at all cost!!!
