How do I close a credit card from Today's man, now that they are out of business?

I want to get all open credit cards that i'm not using off my credit report.

Only the original creditors can remove a trade line from your credit file, they are not required to remove accurate information. So essentially if you have some bad trade lines and the information is factual, they will stay on your file for 7 years from the date of last activity.



If there are some errors on your trade lines, you can dispute the listings and they have to either correct them or remove the trade lines.
