Even if you're doing on-line consultations, and are charging for it, that is still a business, not personal.

Paypal is not bad but they offer very little protection to sellers of goods and services.

To accept credit cards, you need to set up a merchant account. Many banks offer this service. You will pay an upfront fee to get the equipment and get everything set up. The bank will take a percentage of yours sales each month.

I believe that some banks have minimum amounts of transactions per month, so you need to determine what your volume of business will be.

You mention a bill pay service. Most banks now offer free bill payment services. What sort of consultation will you offer? You need to make sure that you are complying with all laws. You may need a license or certification for some kinds of transactions.
