if so, how did you handle this? it literally just happened to me. it was strange that they already had my address and beginning of my credit card number....and they had 3 different people talk to me and recorded me the entire time. i was at work when i answered so i was blind sided by the questions.

turns out they immediately took $75 out of my account because i apparently "okayed" it.
i've already canceled my card.. and i will be canceling my banking account and re-opening a new one today. but now i'm scared of what's next to come - they claim they're mailing me things...i guess i'll have to cancel them or they will keep sending me bills helppp!

You also need to file a police report if you have been scammed. Also put a fraud alert on your account with all three credit bureaus. It might also be a good idea to not only close your account but open a new account at another bank. It will save you some headaches later on. I have not been scammed by phone but I had my purse and identity stolen in June of this year and am still cleaning up the mess.

That is so crazy, I have had problems with my credit report (a home loan for 200K 6 cars all kinds of things that were not mine) but a friend told me about this company and I have not had any problems since. they did that too me for 100 dollars, some vacation agency. i DIDNT okay it. i canceled my card and got a new one with a completely different account number and pin, they took it out again somehow. but oh well i never paid it anyways, ill realize how bad i messed up my credit when im older.
