...reports? I'd like to pay off a credit card without the world (or my wife!) knowing about it. I can make good monthly payments but it's best if I deal with it asap. Thanks.

A lot of small town banks do not report to the credit bureaus.

Also some small independent loan companies do not report.

Look in your phone book and call and ask.

And yes you can tell if a credit card is paid off by looking at the bureau.
