My HSBC card called me twice today at work, leaving messages with my co-worker. They called again, I answered and they wanted to know if I made a $100 charge to sprint, a $76 charge to Target, $100 on flowers, and $50 for a haircut.
I made all these charges and i usually spend 400 a week on this card. My payments are on time and im under the credit limit.
I was embarrased because i have nosey co-workers everyone was listening and making up stories that im bakrupt.
I am outraged that they would call just for this at my job like I did something wrong.
I have citibank and if they think something is suspicious they just leave a message at home.

What the hell was this about?

I would call them and leave a cell ph number to call if they ever have more questions. That is embarrassing and I would explain that to them.

They do that all the time to be sure someone is not using your credit card other than you. If someone had stolen your card you would be very happy that they did that. I was!
