purchasing in US dollars? i am designing an online selling site. My intended customers are inidans. I have learnt that when a credit card is used for purchasing in currency that is not similar to the currency of the card, then the buyer will be charged more by the credit card companies. So if my indian customer whose currency of the credit card is INDIAN RUPEES buys an item on my site whose price is set in PAYPAL in USD, then my customer will have to pay a little bit more than the actual amount of the item. So how much extra charge will be on for a purchase in USD for a credit card in INDIAN RUPEES.

My credit cards vary, but often charge 1-3% for foreign currency transactions, in addition to the exchange rate.
