I led my friend my credit cards but she is not paying back now, can i sue her?

I led my friend my credits card 3 years ago and she promise (orally) that she would pay me back like one year later. She didnt keep her promise, and she still owe me $3500 right now (2 years later). Its been a pain in axx whenever i ask her to pay me back. She threaten me to kill her a few times and claimed that she would commit a suicide a few times when i ask her for the money. Can sue her? if yes, i am suing her for?

P.S.- she has a store. I am 100% sure she used my credit cards on her own credit machine on her store and i didnt sign anything. Can i sue her for stealing my credit cards?

You are 100% responsible since the cards are in your name. It was dumb not to at least get something in writing and have it notarized. I borrowed a large amount of money from a friend years ago and we had this written contract. There may not be any legal recourse for you, but laws vary from state to state. Perhaps file in small claims court? You may be able to make a case for her using the credit card machine, but a long time has passed, any time limits for filing a chargeback with the credit card company or filing in court may have passed. You should consult and attorney, but my gut feeling is that you are screwed. And that girl is not much of friend.
