credit card questions...?

i'm a first time credit card holder.. I have received a papital one cc, and a Target.. They both do not have much credit limit so i'll be more than able to manage them.. I'm a little confused about things.. answer the one's you can please.. I didn't get an info packet from either...

1. How long untill your credit limit goes up
2.How long untill your A.P.R's go down
3. Should i pay the balance off when the bill comes? Or whenever i have the money?( would paying it off before the bill still establish my credit history?)
4. is the a.p.r only charged if i have a balance at the end of the month?
5. how do i know when i will be billed.. as when it's due? Is it 25 days from the time of purchase... or they just pick a date?

THANKS EVERYONE!!!

1 and 2. Unless they told you otherwise, these may not happen at all. The credit limit and APR can stay the same forever. The APR can go up.
3. Pay it anytime before it is due. Your choice whether to pay before the bill comes, as soon as it comes, or just before it is due. Just make sure that the payment is received (not just sent) before the duedate.
4. If you make purchases only and pay the full balance each month, APR is not charged on most cards. If you take cash advances, APR is charged based on the number of days that you had the money.
5. They send 12 bills per year, approximately evenly spaced, and everything on each bill is due the same time, usually 20-25 days after they send the bill [about 2-3 weeks after you receive the bill (depending on the speed of the post office)]. This means that if you buy something just after they send a bill, you have a longer time to pay than if you buy something in time for it to go on a bill that is being sent a few days later.

If you are not happy with your capital one or target credit cards, why not get a new credit card that offers more credit limit and possibly rewards on your purchases? If you have ok to good credit, you may apply for a new credit card from this site: Good luck.
