Is there a way to pay online with a credit card without the actual card?
After I had opened up a Bank of America student debit account I got set up for a credit card that was to be sent to me. I never received the card due to mail situations and I never even activated it. I kept the account but didn't plan on using it because at the time, I knew I was not ready for a credit card.
Well, now I have to pay a bill with it and when I called the bank to get it resent there was a big ordeal and I guess someone used it to buy gas in Europe in December. So now it's handled by the fraud group and they aren't there until Monday.
Anyway, how long will it take for me to get my card sent to me if I handle this Monday?
If it is not sent to me in time to pay this bill, is there a way I can charge it without having the actual card?
and, why the heck is no one available to handle this over the weekend? Im pretty ticked at this bank.
and Im irritated because I never did activate so no, I have not been keeping tabs on it. When I try to look up the information on the purchase, absolutely nothing shows up. I had to call to see even what it was I was charged for.
This is not my first problem with this bank. Every time I've talked to customer service they have been very rude over situations I had no control over. Its ridiculous.

If the fraud division is handling your case you will probably have to wait at least 7 to 10 business days to get a card reissued to you. There is no way you can use the current card because for one thing you don't have it, so you don't even have the number and for another thing it has been deactivated, when you get the card in 7 to 10 business days it will be a new card, not the one you had before, it will be a new number and you will have to activated it first. You might want to rethink being "ticked" at the bank as they caught the fraud before it got out of hand. Someone COULD have piled up thousands of dollars of charges on that card therefore rendering your credit history fodder for the toilet and that would take YEARS to repair.

With Bank of America, it will likely take between 7-10 business days from Monday.
If you never had the card in the first place, I doubt you will be able to use it; and especially since its being looked into by the fraud division, the card has probably been deactivated to prevent further fraudulent use.
If it hasn't been deactivated, you would have to know the card's 16-digits, the 3-digit security code on the back as well as the expiration date. I don't think Bank of America will provide that information if you call customer service, but you can give it a shot.
That's weird that no one is available during the weekend. When I went out of town for Christmas once, they (BoA) froze my card b/c they thought it was being used fraudulently. I called them and explained that I was out of town for the holidays and using my card, actually spoke to someone, and had my card unfrozen in less than 5 minutes.

If you didn't activate it you can't use it. And also, since it's now under fraud investigation, no you can't use it.
The bank has people available over the weekend to take reports of problems, and to put holds on cards with problems. You haven't done anything about this missing card for almost a year or more, and now you're mad at them because somebody isn't working over the weekend to resolve your problem? Does that really make sense?
