I know there has to be one out there somewhere, its annoying to go to the atm all the time and my nearest atm is like ages away and it would be eaiser if i could use a card to get stuff in shops instead of going to get the money.

A debit card is connected to your checking or savings account and is used like a regular credit card, however, being 14, you will need to show a picture ID when using. All banks have one, just request that you get one (if the account is in your name, you should have no problem).

Absolutely not! At 14, you are not legally able to have a credit or debit card. That is because you are not legally or emotionally responsible to handle one. For those who dont know, using a card is a legal contract, binding the user to pay as agreed. As we all know, a minor is not able to enter into a legal contract such as: getting a car loan, marriage, credit card, or checking account (which is required for a debit card).

It puts the bank in a situation that they must pay anything that the minor buys without having the minor responsible or the means to make them responsible as the contract is null & void at time of signature. I dont know of any bank (that is in the business of making money) that will do that.
