Absolutely not! At 14, you are not legally able to have a credit or debit card. That is because you are not legally or emotionally responsible to handle one. For those who dont know, using a card is a legal contract, binding the user to pay as agreed. As we all know, a minor is not able to enter into a legal contract such as: getting a car loan, marriage, credit card, or checking account (which is required for a debit card).
It puts the bank in a situation that they must pay anything that the minor buys without having the minor responsible or the means to make them responsible as the contract is null & void at time of signature. I dont know of any bank (that is in the business of making money) that will do that.
