Should I pay off my credit card with the higher interest or the highest balance?

I have 8 credit/store cards that I want to pay off. 2 are already closed but the others are still open.Do I pay the one with the highest interest or highest balance off first and just pay the minimum due on the others? How much extra should I pay above the minimum?

definetly pay off the higher interest card first. pay as much as you can. transfer the balance to a 0 % interest rate (these usually last about a year)
