We have a crazy psycho of an aunt in the family who has started taking out credit cards in one of her niece's names. She is not sending them to herself though, she is sending them to her other nieces/nephews houses. This woman is really sick; she's done some really crazy things to the family and we want her to go to jail this time. How can we prove it was her? Will the credit card company be able to track her IP address?? She's not spending money on the cards since she's not having them sent to her, but the psychopath still shouldn't be allowed to do this. Any thoughts?
I should add - we don't have any contact with her - she wasn't like this before she got in a fight with a family member and now that no one talks to her she is doing these things. She pranks her sisters in-law, she sends weird letters, says hateful things and threatens. Lawyers have sent her letters stating she needs to leave the family alone but she won't. Her own family don't believe she has a problem because she hides all these things from them, her family believes that WE are the bad guys.

Someone should get her evaluated by a psychiatrist and possibly committed to a mental hospital since she is harming other people with her actions

Some local governments have Mental Health offices in their departments of human services that will send a counsellor to visit such people who are either a threat to themselves or others, or who are acting in ways that could get them into criminal trouble. You might also--if you can get together some evidence--get a Community Service officer from the Police to visit her and maybe put the fear of God into her. I don't think that jail is a solution to mental problems but some kind of counselling or custodianship might be in order. Another possibility down the road is a court order that prohibits her from having internet service if she keeps this up.
