Going on vacation, no credit cards, cash only?

My fiance and I are going on vacation for her 21st birthday a day after Thanksgiving.

We plan on getting tickets, ect. within a few weeks. I'm over 25, no credit cards. I have good credit but choose to deal with cash only.

She has a pre paid credit card that actually has her name on it. It's registered to her.

How should we work this??

We need to rent a car, again, i'm over 25, she's not.

How do we do this with no solid credit cards?

Any advice would be great!!
We're using SKYBUS. We're wanting to fly to LA .. rent a car .. and driving 3 hours to Vegas.
I lived in Vegas for 4 years so i know my way around.

I highly recommend getting a free, low-limit card. The interest rates are high, but if you pay it off as soon as you make any purchases on it, you don't need to worry about interest. Travelling without a credit card can be a real hassle, plus have a card can be a real life-saver in an emergency. Even if you only use the card for travelling, its a useful tool.

i understand the cash only idea , but in your situation , you really need to get a credit card or go with gates travel.
i would recommend that you get a secured credit card , then travel. with a secured credit card you can do anything a regular card will let you except you control the credit limit on it , by how much you put in the security deposit (which they pay intrest to you on) . i used Orchid bank for mine ! just a sugestion , oh yeah and you can pay off the card at any time by telling them to cash in the security deposit and send you a check for what remains in the account ! i did that (what a fool i was )!
