Please take the new credit card and put it in a blender. You are opening up a door that most people wish they would have left shut. Go to a bank and open an account that allows you to have a Debit Card. Guess What? You have to have the money before you can spend it. Being Debt Free is not the American Way and Credit Cards will take you down a rough road. The Bible says not to be slave to the lender.
My advice is free. You'll pay for that credit card the rest of your life.

Yes, using credit cards can either help you, or hurt you, depending on how you use, or abuse them. Be very smart, and read the fine print in the terms and conditions. Hopefully, you obtained them from a local bank or credit union, and not from an online institution that you know little about. Please check into that very quickly. Sometimes you can end up paying extremely high interest charges, up to 30%, if you're not careful. A reasonable charge should be under 10%. Please have an experience person look at your credit card account, so you don't get taken in. If you already have the card, it may be too late, but please try.
