18 I used it irresponsibly and it took a good while to pay off all the idiotic purchases.

18 and i held a balance on there for a year to build my credit, i do spend wisly with credit cards but with cash im very impulsive.

i got my first credit card when was 18. not on my parents account. yes, i did use it wisely.

I was 18. It was my own account with JCPenney. Then after that I got several more. I used them wisely at first. Then I went a little crazy and got too many. I had to file bankruptcy about 6 years ago.

When I was 19, all by myself, and yes. I did use it wisely. But, I'm still paying if off.
