My husband said to use his Credit card?

My husband wanted me to use his credit card, he will not be with me when i am making the purchase. Is this legal? We are legally married...My name is not on the account, does it really matter? I am in the state of California, if that makes a difference.

My wife and I do this all the time. Some stores will ask for ID, though, and if they do then you can't use it.
