If you are 17, and the cashier typed in your birthday to process the application, the register would have given him/her an alert that you do not meet the age requirement for applying for the card.

Did you lie and change your birth date or birth year? I'm surprised you got approved for the card if you provided false information.

However, if for some reason you did get approved, the cashier gave you a temporary shopping pass which has your account number on it, and it shows you your credit limit, and you can use that at any O.N. / Gap/ Banana Republic store (along with your driver's license) until you get your card in the mail in about 10 days.

If you werent approved for the card, you should not have received the 10% enrollment discount, and you will not receive a card or a statement in the mail.

They should have given you the account number, and it should arrive in the mail in about 2 weeks.

Most stores give you a temporary one if you were approved,which they usually know right away,and then it comes in the mail.
