When can I get a credit card? I am 16.?

I really want one so I can have more money to spend until pay day comes.

Any advice about them would be great!

Since it is illegal to make a contract with a minor, the earliest you can get a credit card in your name is 18, IF you have good credit, and a job history of more than a year with the same company and meet the income requirements as well.
