Credit cards, good or bad???

Ever since i moved in to my apartment i have been getting tons of credit card offers and i am debating on whether or not i should accept?? I could use the cash advance to get bills paid and groceries and things like that but i am afraid it will end up haunting me??? i have a kohls "credit:" card with a 300 limit and have done well with getting it paid off but i am unsure about capital one, visa, etc...
thanks so much

Get one major credit card with a LOW locked interest rate...Call the VISA, Master Card companies and find out who has the lowest LOCKED rate..Use the card for small purchases and EVERY month pay off the whole bill !!!
This way your credit score will go up and in the future other creditors will see you have a major credit card and that you are faithful to pay off the whole amount every month... The creditors will see you as a good RISK in the future if you want to make a MAJOR purchase like a car or home ...Remember at first ONLY use the card each month like for $20.00 then pay the bill off totally each month.... Good Luck

it is GOOD to have ONE for emergencies, don't over extend yourself and pay cash still whenever you can for purchases.
Live within your budget no matter how much it sucks !!!!!

while cards are nice to have if you can pay the full balance every month and not have to pay any finance charges.
look around for the lowest interest paying card and make sure you don't have to pay an annual fee.
YOUR better off if you don't get one. if you need something
save your money till you can purchase it free and clear, then buy it. it's hard i know, but you'll not have to pay a higher price for something because it's on a card. they charge you every month a finance charge that adds to the price of everything you buy. all that being said NEVER TAKE CASH
capitalone and visa are both reputable dealers, but you charging things only costs you more.

Credit cards are great for everyday things that you would normally pay cash for as long as you never exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month and pay in full before the due date.

If you are going to use them for cash advances, you will be paying high interest rates and if you can not afford to pay it off in full when you get the bill you will most likely find yourself in trouble.

The ideal number of credit cards are 3 ( 1 major credit limit and 2 small credit limit) .

NEVER do the cash advance. Credit cards are good, people are bad when they don't know how to use them. Taking a cash advance will no doubt get you into further trouble. Talk to people around you, call a bank, if you're thinking of doing this you need a lot more advice.
