I'm a 1st year graduate student and i got a stafford loan sub,,, but i couldnt recieve me unsub,, because i recieve va benfits but dats only when i am in school... i didnt no recieve enough money for school.. im tryin to get a student loan for housing... but i have bad credit and no cosigner because my parents also have bad credit and i have no on else who would co sign for me.. how can i find a student loan with bad creidt and no cosigner? help please.. school has already started and i have no place to live as far as campus housing or apartment and i live 3 hours from the school to far to commute.. my family will not help me...

i thought that the student loans / grants were not based on credit criteria ? I'd apply again / speak to a financial counselor at the school and see if they can help you find some assistance. Good Luck

a student loan is the worst loan you can get . the government will keep adding interest to that loan and it will just keep getting harder and harder to pay off. besides that a student loan is for school not for housing.
