Is it even a possibility that I could get some kind of loan to go back to school? divorced
mom, bad credit... I already have a BA from 1989, but I have been a stay at home mom for the last 12 years and want to change my course of study.......I have researched a one year program at a private university to get a medical coding certificate (one extra year would get me the Associates degree). The cost will be about 14000.........I am broke, have terrible credit, havent filed taxes the last few years, unemployed........I know it sounds like Im not such a great person, but I am........I just need help in order to get a career that will bring in about 40K/yr. Right now I receive 1500/month in child support and that is how I am barely surviving. My parents will not co-sign on a loan, but have verbally agreed that they will pay the entire loan for me if/when I complete the program AND get the money on my own to do so. I feel like im stuck in a no win situation..........
