My wife would like to move into a better house in a better neighborhood, but her credit is mess up and she complain about it every single day, like I suppose to just say come on let's move when my credit is not good also..any suggestions?

She should get a job, pay off her debts, restore her credit, and then move to a better neighborhood - it can be done.
(after 7 years, the bad credit will be removed from her credit report)

First step is to cancel all joint accounts and you each have your own. If she works she needs to take responsibility, get her plastic into debt consolidation and pay them off. get her into shoppers anonymous and if she doesn't get her act together maybe it's time to cut the cord. you also need to get your credit report and make sure her bad credit isn't messing you up. IF she is NOT working take the plastic from her, put them in consolidation and keep them from her until she learns to handle a debit account and make sure she pays the overdraft protection fee. If she is working. as long as this doesn't affect YOUR credit you need to stand up to her. she is probably just crying out for you to bail her out.

She should have thought about a bigger house in a better neighborhood before letting her credit go to the sh*tter. Tell her to start cleaning up her credit and learn how to spend money wisely....and to stop blaming you for her poor choices in spending money she doesn't have.

Tell her to be glad she has a house now. Some people with bad credit loose theirs.

I am the same way with my husband I get mad because he's credit is shot to h*ll and it is his fault to a point!! Him an his ex-wife messed it up!! I say we are never gonna have anything because of her!!!And him!! Now that things are better for us we still can't get anything from credit so it makes me mad!! Just file for bankrupacy an go from there!!!

Do what me and my husband are doing now make your payments to the people you still owe money to . It will take time tell your wife to do someting about it to make it better you cannot wine and complain and hope it will disapear.

Fix the credit problems and move. Until then, save money.

I think people who complain like this need to be "called" on it. Agree with her. Say, "Yeah, I'd like to move into a better house too!" Then ask her, "Do you want to go apply for a home mortgage loan?" At that point, she might realize that there's no point in that since she knows both your credit is not good so she stops complaining about it. Score! On the other hand, she might say yes. If so, tell her to make an appointment at a lender and fill out a loan application. If she follows through, one of two things will happen. Either you will discover that you have better credit than you thought you did, and you get to move into a better house (Yay!), or else the loan application will be rejected, and you won't have to hear her whining anymore (Yay, again!). Calling her bluff is a no-lose proposition for you, so go for it!
